MJF: The Amount Of Money I Get, By The Time My AEW Contract Ends, Far Surpasses $15 Million

MJF was off AEW television from AEW Worlds End 2023 to AEW Double or Nothing 2024. Before losing the AEW World Title to Samoa Joe at AEW Worlds Ends 2023, MJF often referenced the bidding war of 2024.

Upon his AEW return, MJF said he was't going anywhere, indicating he re-signed with the company.

Speaking to Jimmy Traina on the SI Media podcast, Jimmy asked about his contract and if the report that he was making $15 million per year was true.

"$15 billion with a B?" asked MJF.

Jimmy clarified that it was million with a M.

"Oh, that's a little light. That's a little on the light side. I can say that with full confidence. That's a little on the light side," said MJF.

Jimmy then clarified that it was per year.

"Oh, we're talking per year? No, no, no," said MJF.

Asked how long the contract was for, MJF replied, "The response would be none of your business. What I will tell you is, the amount of money that I get, by the time it is over, far surpasses $15 million. I am making top guy money, whether it be an All Elite Wrestling contract or WWE contract. I am 28 years old. Every single top act in professional wrestling, besides me, is either in their late 30s, late 40s, or early 50s. For the people who are panicked, 'Oh my gosh, am I ever going to get to see MJF outside of All Elite Wrestling? Am I ever going to get to see MJF in this place or that place?' The reason I was paid top dollar is because I'm a generational talent. I won the bidding war. WWE didn't win the bidding war. AEW didn't win the bidding war. I won the bidding war because I'm making an absurd amount of money. By the time the contract is up, I will still be absurdly young, and then I will be able to, once again, make an absurd amount of money in the next bidding war. You know who is going to win again? Me. Now, All Elite Wrestling is winning for the simple fact that they get to have me on their television show. I am, without a shadow of a doubt, the biggest ratings draw the company has. I have been one of the top merchandise sellers since the inception. I have been a top guy in the company since the inception."

Asked if he took the biggest offer available, MJF replied, "What do you think? Am I a business man or a mark?"

Jimmy noted that MJF is a business man.

"You just answered your own question. Next question," stated MJF.

That settles that.

MJF is set to face Hangman Page at AEW Revolution.
