MVP: Triple H Avoided The Conversation About Hurt Business Reunion, 'The Old Man' Wanted To Turn Us Into NOD 2.0

MVP comments on The Hurt Business not getting back together and shares a nixed idea.

MVP has been open about his frustration regarding the Hurt Business, as he has made it clear that he wanted the group to get back together in WWE, but Vince McMahon and later Triple H did not book their reunion. MVP and Bobby Lashley then left WWE and signed with AEW; MVP debuted in September, and Lashley arrived in October. They have reunited with Shelton Benjamin to form The Hurt Syndicate.

On November 19, MVP took to Twitter/X to share some of his thoughts about The Hurt Business. In one post, he noted that there was a moment during the Pandemic Era when "the old man", presumably referring to Vince McMahon, wanted to turn The Hurt Business into the NOD 2.0, and he brought in Mark and Ron, likely meaning Mark Henry and Ron Simmons.

MVP wrote that they fought him on it and said that their group was never about race, as it was always about their organic friendship and desire to make money doing what they love.

In another post, MVP responded to a fan who wondered why Paul, likely referring to Triple H, didn't want to bring back The Hurt Business. The fan asked if Paul explained or if it was a hard no.

MVP previously said that they were told that The Hurt Business was getting back together in WWE, but plans changed.

MVP has also said that the new management in WWE was not for him, and it was time to leave. Check out his comments here.
