NCAA Wrestler Gable Steveson Tweets And Deletes That He Will Rule WWE

Gable Steveson has made no secret of his WWE aspirations.

Steveson currently wrestles at the University of Minnesota and was the number two seed in the NCAA Championship at heavyweight as a sophomore before the tournament was canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic. He finished second in the tournament as a freshman.

He was suspended this season on sexual assault allegations, but no charges were filed.

The Star Tribune wrote earlier this year, "Steveson would like to have a career as a 'face' in the WWE and possibly Ultimate Fighting like one of his idols, Conor McGregor. But he also said he doesn’t want to get his face repeatedly smashed in."

Steveson added more fuel to the WWE fire, according to the Wrestling Observer, tweeting and deleting that he would rule the WWE world. While a screen shot of the tweet couldn't be found, another user replied to a tweet by Steveson, which seemed to tag WWE, that is unavailable.

Steveson has previously trained with Minnesota alumni and former WWE Champion Brock Lesnar.

Stevenson has also mentioned The Rock and McGregor on social media, saying he aspires to be in their positions.

As of now, Steveson remains in college and awaits another chance to get on the mat after missing out on a potential NCAA Title this year.
