The Bullet Club just got a bit more dashing with the announcement that Cody Rhodes has been added to its ranks.
Bullet Club leader Kenny Omega made the announcement at the NJPW World Tag Team Finals on December 10 that the former WWE Intercontinental Champion is going to be a part of the group after weeks of buildup.
Rhodes was nicknamed "The American Nightmare" and the video package featuring him also indicated that he would probably be appearing at Wrestle Kingdom 11. The event takes place at the Tokyo Dome on January 4 with Omega challenging Kazuchika Okada for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship after Omega won the 2016 G1 Climax this past August.
The former WWE superstar commented on the announcement on Twitter.
In his time in WWE, Cody has won a number of titles, including the Intercontinental Championship twice, the World Tag Team Championship 3 times and the WWE tag Team Championship three times as well. After being muddled around in the midcard, Cody then wrestled under the "Stardust" gimmick, where he won a tag team championship with his brother Goldust, but eventually got lost in the shuffle after a while. He asked for his release back in May and had been wrestling in a number of different promotions.
Cody wrestled in TNA for a very brief while and is holding titles in a couple of them, including WCPW (Internet Champion), GFW (NEX*GEN Champion). His wife Brandi is currently wrestling in TNA after spending a few years as a ring announcer in WWE under the name Eden Stiles.
