Either the Bar or New Day will take on the Bludgeon Brothers.
At SummerSlam, there is a Smackdown Tag Team Championship match scheduled between the Bludgeon Brothers and an opponent to be determined next week. Smackdown General Manager Paige created a four-team tournament to determine who would face the Champions.
New Day beat Sanity last week to advance in the tournament and then was ringside providing their own commentary as the Bar and the Usos faced off this week.
As part of the weekly Smackdown spoilers, Fightful Wrestling reported earlier in the evening that the Bar would come out of the match victorious
The following is an excerpt from the play-by-play provided by Ryan Cook.
We come back (from commercial) to Jimmy hitting a whisper in the wind before hitting a superkick and Jey hits a splash off of the top for a near fall. The Bar then counters two splashes by The Usos before Sheamus rolls Jey him up for the pin and the win.
Winner: The Bar defeat The Usos to move on to the next round of the Smackdown Tag Team Tournament.
The New Day and the Bar have wrestled on Raw and Smackdown before and the Bar was the team that ended the New Day's historic Tag Team Championship reign in 2016.
