New Japan Pro-Wrestling Returning To Madison Square Garden On 8/22 To Present Wrestle Dynasty

New Japan Pro-Wrestling is officially headed back to Madison Square Garden!

During the New Beginning in Osaka event on February 9th, NJPW revealed that they will be making their New York City return on Saturday, August 22nd, with a brand new event entitled Wrestle Dynasty.

NJPW is back in The World’s Most Famous Arena this summer

After April 2019’s G1 Supercard saw Madison Square Garden sell out in a matter of minutes, New Japan Pro-Wrestling returns to The World’s Most Famous Arena for an event on the grandest scale on August 22. 

A Kingdom becomes a Dynasty in MSG this summer! Wrestle Dynasty will see the best of the best battle under the bright lights with the world watching in New York City!

The last time New Japan Pro-Wrestling was in Madison Square Garden, it was for the G1 SuperCard show that was co-promoted with Ring of Honor wrestling. On that night during  WrestleMania 35 weekend, Kota Ibushi would capture the IWGP Intercontinental Championship from Tetsuya Naito and, in the main event, Kazuchika Okada would defeat “Switchblade” Jay White to capture the IWGP Heavyweight Championship once again.
