Nia Jax's bloodlines aren't exactly a secret, and she's not shying away from the connection on NXT live events.
Jax finished up her NXT obligations last weekend in Texas, as she was drafted to WWE Raw two weeks ago. Jax took on NXT Women's Champion Asuka in one of her final matches, and when going for her signature leg drop, put a little extra on it. Jax, who is related to former WWE Champion The Rock, added a fair amount of theatrics, essentially trying a "People's leg drop." Unfortunately for Jax, the move missed it's mark, and she paid for it in the form of a kick to the face from Asuka.
The Rock has publicly praised Jax in the past, notable on his Facebook page late last year:
I told her don't worry about championship titles and don't be concerned about becoming famous, just always remember that the most powerful thing you can be IN AND OUT of the wrestling ring, is yourself... All 5'11 272lbs of beautiful, Samoan, German, authentic, savage, humble, hungry dominant woman. Be real, be you and greatness will come. Y'all KNOW she then cracked a big ass smile too. .
