Nikki Bella Announces Her Retirement From Wrestling; Launching Podcast With Brie Bella

The Bella Twins are officially retired from in-ring competition.

It was on a recent episode of the E! Network series Total Bellas that Brie Bella announced her retirement from wrestling and on tonight's season finale of the show, fellow former WWE Divas Champion Nikki Bella followed suit and announced that she'll be retiring from in-ring competition as well. The announcement came in the middle of a family dinner and Nikki shared that she questioned why she was still wrestling during WWE's European tour at the conclusion of 2018. She added that her body did not feel good on top of the stress of being away from her other business ventures and stated that it is time to go in a different direction.

“The [European] tour was good but I just feel like I’m too old for that travel. That travel was really, really rough. So I realized, I was like, ‘Why am I doing this anymore?’ I don’t feel good and the girls are doing amazing things over there. I really am ready to hang up the jersey." Nikki said. "Being on the European tour, I’ve had a lot of time to think. Just how my body feels, being away from my company, how time consuming this is. It’s making me realize I’m ready to fold the jersey and put it away. I’m ready to put the kicks aside and I’m ready to take Nikki Bella into a different direction."

Following the season finale of the show, Nikki and Brie announced that they'll be launching their own podcast and episode one of their show has been released.

The Bella Twins have officially retired from in-ring competition and while on the topic of retirement, WWE Hall Of Famer Kurt Angle is on his retirement tour and will have his last match at WrestleMania 35 against Baron Corbin.
