The NXT Underground match will return on the December 26 episode of WWE NXT.
On the December 12 episode of NXT, Eddy Thorpe faced Dijak in their latest clash. The turnbuckle broke, and Dijak repeatedly hit Thorpe with it. The following week, Thorpe challenged Dijak to face him in an NXT Underground Match. Dijak later accepted the challenge.

Elsewhere on the show, the NXT Men's Breakout Tournament semi-finals will see Lexis King face Riley Osborne and Oba Femi clash with Tavion Heights.
Plus, Cora Jade will face Karmen Petrovic, and Noam Dar will defend the NXT Heritage Cup against Josh Briggs. Briggs, Brooks Jensen, and Fallon Henley beat Dar, Oro Mensah, and Lash Legend on the December 12 episode of NXT.
Additionally, though it was not announced, Andre Chase and Dule Hudson agreed to face OTM (Bronco Nima and Lucien Price) in an All or Nothing match. With a victory, Chase would double his winnings from their game. A win for OTM would earn them a shot at the NXT Tag Team Championship.
