Oba Femi is one week into his reign as NXT Champion, winning the title from Trick Williams in a triple threat match at NXT New Year's Evil.
Femi was a dominant force in NXT in 2024, winning the NXT North American Championship and having the longest reign in history with the title.
Now at the top of the brand, Oba explained what fans can expect from NXT.
"Good matches. Dominance. Someone who is going to spearhead the division to the next level. I'm really big on bringing up NXT to being the third brand. I'm very big on that. I believe we can finally get to that level with me at the forefront of all of this. There has been NXT, NXT Gold, NXT 2.0, White and Gold, Black and Gold, this is Platinum. This is NXT Platinum. This is Oba Femi's era. This is my time to reign, and it's going to be special," Femi said on the Masked Man Show with David Shoemaker and Kazeem Famuyide.
