PROGRESS' last show was on February 23, 2020, nearly a full year ago. In June, they took action against a number of performers after abuse allegations surfaced. Days later, they announced that the company would shut down until they were happy with the changes they have made, saying they will pioneer the change that the industry needs.

In an August 2020 update, PROGRESS revealed some of the key aspects of those changes. One notable detail was that all UK talent, referees, crew and management will require a valid criminal record check.

The promotional video for the upcoming event features Danny Black, Warren Banks, Big Guns Joe, Kid Lykos II, Elijah, Man Like Dereiss, Luke Jacobs, and Ethan Allen. These men will compete in the quarterfinals of the Natural Progression Series tournament. The eventual winner will earn the opportunity to challenge for the PROGRESS Wrestling World Title.

A second match was also revealed on Twitter:

Finally, Chapter 105: Bring The Thunder will premiere one week later on February 27. That show will include the finals of the Natural Progression Tournament as well as the first-ever female Thunderbastard match.
