QT Marshall Jokingly Compares Running Nightmare Factory With Cody Rhodes To Being 'Divorced Parents'

QT Marshall comments on continuing to run the Nightmare Factory wrestling school with Cody Rhodes while both men are currently under contract with two opposing promotions.

QT Marshall recently returned to AEW to continue his work behind the scenes, and Cody Rhodes is riding high as the current Undisputed WWE Champion. Both men continue to be really good friends, and they still operate the Nightmare Factory wrestling school. Now, Marshall is talking about what it's like to continue operating the school with Cody, as they both have separate commitments individually.

JBL: I've Got A Couple Of Really Big Things Planned For 2025, I'm Going All In

Marshall noted during a recent AMA with the Tapped Out Podcast Network that workplace differences rarely come up between Marshall and Cody. Marshall jokingly compared their relationship to that of divorced parents. They do what they have to do for the school they started together, and they have maintained their friendship outside of AEW.

“It’s like divorced parents, no [laughs]. We just show up and coach. He’s still my best friend and I’m the godfather of his child and we own the school together. There’s times that people have shown up from WWE, there’s time that people have shown up from AEW. It just is what it is. I don’t care what Cody’s relationship is with everyone from AEW, and I don’t care what AEW’s relationship is with Cody. I don’t care what WWE’s relationship is with me, and I don’t care what mine is with them. We’re running a school, it’s completely a separate entity. I think we’re really good about the way we handle stuff like that, like, 'Hey, WWE needs to do something; we need to film a documentary.' Cool, we'll put off training, and they can come there. Hey, AEW needs to do something. Like, it’s fine. One doesn’t have to do with the other, let’s put it that way.”

Elsewhere in the interview, QT Marshall explained how his responsibilities have changed since returning to AEW. Read those comments here.

In a recent interview, Marshall stated that the inmates don't run the asylum in AEW. Learn more about those comments here.
