Randy Orton: Facing John Cena In A WWE World Title Match At WrestleMania Would Be A Dream Match

Randy Orton wants to run it back with John Cena.

Earlier in their careers, Randy Orton and John Cena were bitter rivals. Their feud spanned years, and they clashed at numerous premium live events. However, aside from a three-way match at WrestleMania 24, they never had a singles match against each other at WrestleMania.

Speaking on WWE's The Bump, Randy Orton discussed potentially winning the world title again, and he brought up how facing John Cena at WrestleMania for the gold would be a dream scenario.

"A dream match for me would be to somehow find myself in a situation where I’m fighting Cena at WrestleMania for the title. I don’t know how you get there, I’m not saying it’s gonna happen. But I have never wrestled John at WrestleMania in a singles match. We had some wars back in the day, so being able to revisit that after all this, I think it’s not only something that I would want, I think the fans would eat it up too," Orton said.

Cena last appeared on WWE programming at WWE Crown Jewel, where he lost to Solo Sikoa. It is not known when he will return to WWE.

During the same interview, Orton also discussed CM Punk's return to WWE. Check out his comments here.
