Report: Ace Steel To Work IMPACT Bound For Glory Weekend As A Producer

Ace Steel is reportedly being brought in for IMPACT Bound For Glory.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider reports that Chris Guy, also known as Ace Steel, will be working IMPACT Bound For Glory weekend as a producer. Johnson cited one source who noted that Steel will have a tryout as a producer, and the company wanted to bring him in before he returned to AEW.

Steel was reportedly released by AEW in September 2023; he had been working for the company in a remote position as CM Punk's producer, but he was let go shortly after Punk's termination on September 2. Johnson wrote that IMPACT offered to bring Steel now that he is free of his AEW contract.

Steel trained CM Punk, and they have remained close friends over the years. He previously worked at the WWE Performance Center as a coach, and he started working for AEW in 2022. Steel also appeared on AEW television ahead of AEW All Out 2022, as he motivated Punk leading up to his match against Jon Moxley. He was fired by AEW following the events at AEW All Out 2022, where he had a role in the altercation between Punk and The Elite (Kenny Omega, Matt Jackson, and Nick Jackson). Steel reportedly threw a chair and bit Omega.
