Report: Brian Pillman Jr Slated To Be At 8/8 WWE NXT TV Taping

Brian Pillman Jr. is reportedly set to be at the WWE NXT TV taping on August 8.

PWInsider reported that Pillman Jr. departed AEW after his contract expired in July. He then reportedly trained at the WWE Performance Center on July 13. Fightful Select confirmed the news and reported that WWE had immediate interest in Pillman Jr. when he became available.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider reports that Pillman Jr. is slated to be at the NXT TV taping on Tuesday, August 8. Johnson wrote that Pillman Jr. is believed to have signed with WWE.

Brian is the son of former WWE star Brian Pillman. He had a prominent run in Major League Wrestling, and he started competing for AEW in 2019. Pillman Jr. formed the Varsity Blpnds tag team with Griff Garrison, and they signed with AEW in July 2021. After Garrison had surgery at the end of 2022, Pillman Jr. teamed up with Brock Anderson. He last wrestled for AEW at the House Rules event on May 13. Since then, Pillman Jr. has remained active on the independent scene
