Charlotte versus Trish is in the works for SummerSlam.
Following last night's episode of SmackDown Live, Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet reported that WWE Hall Of Famer Trish Stratus was in talks with WWE about appearing at the forthcoming SummerSlam pay-per-view in Toronto, Canada on August 11th. Charlotte Flair stated during a backstage interview on SmackDown that she will definitely have an opponent at SummerSlam and that opponent will be better than Ember Moon, who Charlotte was defeated by in a matter of seconds on SmackDown and Charlotte added that she wants to establish that she is the "Queen Of All Eras".
John Pollock of POST Wrestling is now reporting that Charlotte Flair is scheduled to take on Trish Stratus at SummerSlam. If the match does take place, it will be Trish's first match since Monday Night RAW last October which was the night after WWE's first-ever all-women's pay-per-view Evolution.
