Report: Chris Sabin No Longer Under ROH Contract; Scheduled To Work As A Producer With IMPACT

Chris Sabin returning to IMPACT Wrestling under a new role.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider reports that Chris Sabin is scheduled to work this weekend's IMPACT Wrestling television tapings in Windsor as a producer. Sabin's contract with ROH reportedly expired recently and he did not sign a new deal. Sabin is currently sidelined with a torn ACL, suffered on Jan. 12 in a six-way bout against Shane Taylor, Luchasaurus, Rhett Titus, Kenny King and Flip Gordon at the ROH television tapings. He reportedly has yet to have surgery on his torn ACL.

WWE Announces Lineup For Friday's NXT Level Up

Johnson reports that IMPACT will be trying out different producers at upcoming events to try and find the right mix moving forward. The company recently lost producers Abyss and Sonjay Dutt to WWE.

As previously reported, Lance Storm is scheduled to work as a producer at this weekend's tapings on a trial basis.

Sabin worked in TNA/IMPACT from 2003 to 2014 and is a former TNA Heavyweight Champion, World Tag Team Champion, and eight-time X Division Champion.

Fightful will have full results from the IMPACT tapings following their conclusion.
