The latest on CM Punk.
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reports that Creative Artists Agency, which represents CM Punk and WWE, reached out to Fox in regards to Punk potentially serving as the co-host for the upcoming WWE studio show on Fox Sports 1. Punk would reportedly be working for Fox and not WWE.
Meltzer's report goes on to say that no negotiations have taken place between the parties and clarifies that this move was done by Punk's agent, noting that it isn't clear if Punk would actually be interested in the position.
Punk currently does commentary for Cage Fury Fighting Championships, which airs on UFC Fight Pass. He has not appeared on WWE television since leaving the company in 2014. He has reportedly made appearances at a handful of Independent shows since then, appearing under a mask to keep his identity under wraps.
Details remain scarce on the WWE studio show on FS1. Renee Young is tapped to be the host but no premiere date has been set.
Punk is scheduled to appear at Sarrcast III in Chicago where he will do a stage show as part of the event.
