Report: CMLL's Live Gate Money From 12/9 Arena Puebla Show Stolen

Less than 24 hours after CMLL held its weekly show at Arena Puebla in Mexico, armed assailants reportedly stole all of the money that the even generate at the live gate. 

Several Hispanic publications are reporting that the live gate from the December 9 show was stolen by three armed assailants at around 1 p.m. local time. The assailants reportedly went to the venue to ask about information before threatening employees. The reports did not mention an exact number for the entire live gate, but it is estimated that around 230,000 Mexican pesos, which converts to roughly $11,940 was stolen.

Soon after the robbery took place, police were called, answering a 911 call minutes after. Once police arrived, however, they were unable to ascertain who was it that stole the money and unable to detain any.

The Secretary of Citizen Security eventually arrived and launched an investigation into the matter. No injuries were reported at the scene of the incident and employees that were present remained to give their testimonies.

The show was headlined by a trios match pitting the team of Caristico, Titan and Star Jr. against the team of Cuatrero, Forastero and Ephesto. Other wrestlers that also were on the show were Negro Casas, Soberano, Atlantis Jr. and more. CMLL has yet to publicly comment on the matter.
