Good news for Daniel Bryan.
According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, Daniel Bryan was medically cleared on Apr. 30. Bryan had been out since WrestleMania 35 with an undisclosed injury. No information came out on what the injury was.
Bryan is expected to be written back into storylines in the coming weeks.
Prior to his injury, Bryan had a lengthy reign as WWE Champion. He lost the title to Kofi Kingston at WrestleMania 35 in what was widely considered as the best match on the show. While he has not been on television since WrestleMania, he was advertised to appear at SmackDown in recent weeks. However, he did not appear on television or in dark match segments. He was at the SmackDown on Apr. 30, which is when he was reportedly cleared. He is currently advertised to appear on the upcoming European Tour where is scheduled to face Kevin Owens and Kofi Kingston in a triple threat match.
Meltzer goes on to report that had Bryan been cleared earlier, Owens would not have turned heel. But with Bryan out, WWE felt the need to put Owens as the top heel on the brand.
