An update on Drew McIntyre.
Mike Johnson at PWInsider reports that Drew McIntyre is out of action after undergoing minor surgery to help fix a lingering injury. McIntyre is reportedly not backstage for Monday's WWE Raw and wasn't backstage last week, either.
Johnson goes on to report that McIntyre is ready to return to action, but must first be cleared by WWE doctors.
McIntyre last wrestled on the Aug. 28 episode of WWE Raw, losing to Ricochet in the first round of the King of the Ring tournament. He wrestled only five times in August, missing WWE SummerSlam and kept off the majority of WWE live events. Despite missing the SummerSlam event, McIntyre was in Toronto for SummerSlam weekend, making the media rounds. Fightful was able to speak to McIntyre during the weekend. WWE Raw takes place from Madison Square Garden on Monday night. The show will be headlined by a Four Horsewomen tag team match with Becky Lynch & Charlotte Flair taking on Sasha Banks & Bayley.
