Kairi Sane won't be wrestling at the post-Christmas WWE live events as the decision has been made to pull her from the shows.
News of WWE's decision was first reported by Mike Johnson at PWInsider. WWE is set to hold a live event at Madison Square Garden on Dec. 26. Originally advertised was The Kabuki Warriors (Sane & Asuka) against Charlotte Flair & Becky Lynch in a cage match. However, the new advertisement lists a triple threat cage match with Lynch taking on Charlotte and Asuka.
Sane suffered an injury at WWE TLC in a Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match. It is unclear when the injury occurred or her official diagnosis. She was checked out following the event and it was reported by Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet on Monday that Sane had not been cleared for competition. Kairi did appear on Raw, accompanying Asuka to the ring for her match against Deonna Purrazzo.
On Monday afternoon, Sane took to social media to give a "thumbs up" emoji, seemingly indicating that she was doing okay following WWE TLC. WWE is reportedly being cautious with her return. At this time, it is unknown when she will return to the ring.
