Kevin Owens has reportedly suffered an injury.
Owens faced Austin Theory at the WWE Sunday Stunner live event in Madison, Wisconsin, on November 13. Fans at the show subsequently tweeted that Owens seemingly suffered an injury during the match, and a new report has shined more light on the situation.
The Wrestling Observer reports that Owens has suffered an MCL sprain. As of this writing, sources are hopeful that the injury isn't worse than that, though it could potentially be more substantial. During the match, Owens planted his knee and seemingly injured it in the process. Owens won the bout by hitting a Stunner, but the referee helped him to the back.
Owens hasn't competed on WWE Raw in recent weeks, and he didn't travel to Saudi Arabia for the Crown Jewel show on November 5. However, he has been wrestling on house shows. He last competed on TV on the September 30 episode of SmackDown, where he, Johnny Gargano, and Drew McIntyre defeated Theory and Alpha Academy (Otis & Chad Gable).
Fightful will continue to monitor the situation and provide more information as it becomes available.
