Marty Scurll has reportedly signed a new contract with Ring of Honor. The new deal will not only keep him under the ROH banner as a wrestler, but he has reportedly taken on "lead booking duties" with the promotion as well.
Mike Johnson at PWInsider first reported the news of Scurll signing the new contract.
Scurll's contract with ROH expired in November 2019, but he has continued to work with the promotion and was advertised for events as far out as April. The length of Scurll's new contract is unconfirmed.
Delirious, who was previously the head booker of the company, will remain with ROH in a creative capacity and work alongside Scurll. Scurll was reportedly heavily involved in Saturday's show in Atlanta and the Feb. 9 free event in Baltimore is reportedly his idea. ROH is set to hold another event on Sunday, Jan. 12 in Concord, NC.
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer recently reported that ROH's contract offer to Scurll would allow him to also work for NJPW and NWA. Scurll made a surprise appearance at NWA Into The Fire and Nick Aldis returned the favor, showing up at Saturday's ROH show in Atlanta.
ROH has yet to confirm the news of Scurll signing.
