An update on the future of Tama Tonga.
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reports that Tama Tonga is headed to WWE.
Tama finished up his NJPW commitments at NJPW New Beginning in Sapporo, teaming with Tanga Loa in a loss to Hikuleo & El Phantasmo.
Tama announced after winning the NEVER Openweight Title at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 18 that January would be his final month in NJPW, and he was moving to be closer to his family. He finished out his dates in February with the company.
Tama made his NJPW debut in 2010 and collected titles in the singles and tag team divisions. He is a four-time NEVER Openweight Champion and and seven-time IWGP Tag Team Champion. He was part of the original Bullet Club group.
