A two-time Mae Young Classic competitor has signed with the company.
According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Mia Yim has signed with WWE.
Yim was spotted at the Performance Center in a video tweeted out by the WWE NXT account Sept. 18, leading many to believe she was close to signing a deal with the company.
Yim competed in the inaugural Mae Young Classic last year, defeating Sarah Logan in the first round before losing to Shayna Baszler in the second round. She was invited back this year for the tournament. On episode 3 of the show, Yim knocked off Allysin Kay in the first round.
Along with her two appearances in the Mae Young Classic, Yim has appeared on NXT/WWE as part of the Rose Buds and as an enhancement talent. She is best known for her work in TNA/Impact Wrestling as Jade. She won the Knockouts Title in 2016.
