- AEW Commentator Jim Ross says, "It's Wednesday Night, and you know what that means." Ross then welcomes the viewer to Washington, D.C. He then introduces his colleagues Excalibur and Tony Schiavone to the telecast.
- Jon Moxley's music hits, and he makes his way out, and he stops and takes a moment for himself before making his way to the ring. The crowd chants "Moxley, Moxley, Moxley" and then "welcome back, welcome back." Moxley begins going over why he was gone and talks about a Demon. He says everyone has a story, and we all have scars. But, he says, "there are plenty of people who want to write him off."
Moxley says, "I do not run from Demons; I beat the shit out of them." Moxley says he's been to hell, and he does not recommend it; Moxley says that he is thirsty, and all he does now is drink blood.
- MJF is backstage with Wardlow, and MJF begins cutting a promo and says he would have won if he was a seasoned veteran. MJF says that when Wardlow put his hands on him and crossed the line, MJF says he had to dock Wardlow's pay.
Orange Cassidy and Kris Statlander vs. Adam Cole and Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D.
Kris Statlander and Dr. Britt Baker are to begin the match; however, Baker tags Adam Cole right away. Cassidy starts hitting Baker with his soft kicks. Baker steps on Cassidy's foot. Statlander is in, and she goes after Baker, Baker tags in Adam Cole.
Cassidy gets the best of Cole after hitting him with a DDT. But, Statlander is in again, hitting a standing vertical suplex. Cassidy and Statlander dive on top of their opponents outside the ring. Cassidy and Statlander pose a mistake as Baker and Cole hit them with superkicks. Then, they head out for a picture-in-picture commercial break.
Cole controls the action during the entire break by keeping Cassidy in various holds. We return from the break with Cole and Cassidy connecting with a double clothesline. Cassidy tags Statlander; Statlander gets in multiple shots. Statlander sticks her tongue out at Cole, hits Baker with a running heel kick, and then hits her with a Blue Thunder Bomb. Statlander goes for the pin, but Baker kicks out. Soon, Baker is back up, and she hits Statlander with a neckbreaker. Baker makes it over to Cole for the tag.
Cole hits Cassidy with an enzuigiri. Cole goes for the suplex; however, Cassidy gets out of it and counters it into a Stundog Millionaire. Statlander is in, and she hits knocks down Baker. Statlander is going for Area 451, but Adam Cole lays on top of Baker. He attempts to stop Statlander from doing it, but she does it anyway. Cassidy then hits Cole with the Beach Break.
Cole acts like he will hit Statlander, but Baker superkicks her. Baker nails Statlander with a Canadian Destroyer, and Cole hits Cassidy with the Panama Sunrise. Cole goes for the pin, but Cassidy kicks out. Baker gets a table out, Cassidy bumps into Baker and goes through the table. The referee is checking out Baker, Cole is fuming, and he hits Cassidy with a low blow. Cole then hits Cassidy with The Boom, ending it as Cole pins Cassidy.
Winners: Adam Cole and Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D.
- The Inner Circle's Chris Jericho, Santana, and Ortiz are doing a backstage interview with Alex Marvez. Jericho says he doesn't give a damn what Eddie Kingston has to say. Santana and Ortiz cut him off, and they say Kingston said something last week that may be true, and they tell him to "tread lightly" because they do a give a damn about Kingston. Santana and Ortiz question if they need Jericho because of him; that may be the reason that they've never been AEW Tag-Team Champions, but next week they will find out.
- Adam Cole cuts a backstage interview and says that Orange Cassidy "has been a thorn in my side for far too long." Cole challenges Cassidy to a "Lights Out" Match on next week's Dynamite. Cole says that he will end his career.
- We get a CM Punk and Shawn Spears highlights that helped set up their match.
CM Punk vs. Shawn Spears
CM Punk and Shawn Spears are about to begin their match; however, MJF's music hits, and he comes out to join the commentary team for this match. Shawn Spears runs right at CM Punk, and Punk counters the strike and hits Spears with a GTS. Punk pins Spears for the victory; the match lasts for less than ten seconds. After the game, Punk is celebrating his win. MJF gets into the ring to possibly go for the sneak attack, but Punk is ready for it, and Punk grabs MJF by the scarf. MJF pulls the other side of the scarf and exits the ring.
Winner: CM Punk
- We get a backstage segment with Billy Gunn confronting Christian Cage. Gunn says, "his boys are ranked in the top five, and they deserve a match."
- Cody Rhodes comes out to cut a promo. There is a sixteen or twenty-foot ladder set up in the ring. Rhodes asks the crowd what they want to talk about tonight. Rhodes talks about how the "Pipe Bomb" promo was a start to a new revolution.
He talks about how CM Punk was the return of the decade. Rhodes talks about how he did what Punk spoke about; he did it. Rhodes brings up the "Forbidden Door," and he was the one who built it. Cody talks about being gone for two weeks; Rhodes says, "I know ReDragon graduated from hip toss class, but I don't need to see The Bucks beat developmental again."
Cody goes on to say, "I know we're not in the business of renaming people Gunther McGillibuddy, but showing up in AEW calling yourself Brodie takes balls." Finally, Cody says that Tony Khan sent him a contract for a match against Sammy Guevara, and maybe it's not the contract he wants." He then challenges Guevara to a match at AEW Beach Break.
- Jade Cargill says she will take on Anna Jay in an open challenge. Anna Jay says she will do what it takes to win. Jade says to Anna Jay, "okay, but you need to understand that I am that bitch."
House of Black (Malakai Black and Brody King) vs. Varsity Blondes ( w/ Julia Hart)
Malakai Black hits Griff Garrison with a back elbow to start the match. Garrison tags in Brian Pillman Jr. and Black tags in Brody King. Brody King sends Pillman to the outside; Garrison questions Pillman why he is not fighting. Brody King sends Garrison right into the steel steps. Brody Kings hits Pillman with a slam and then pins Pillman for the victory. After the match, Malakai Black is about to cut a promo, but PAC shows up on the screen for a video. PAC says he found a new vision and purpose and sees Malakai Black as every other cretin in AEW. PAC will not bow down to Malakai.
Winners: House of Black (Malakai Black and Brody King)
- We get a video showing the return of Lance Archer.
- Brandon Cutler is recording a video message for Trent Barretta and Rocky Romero. Romero challenges The Young Bucks to a match on Rampage this Friday. They will re-unite Roppongi Vice for one night.
"Murderhawk" Lance Archer ( w/ Jake "The Snake" Roberts and Dan Lambert) vs. Frankie Kazarian
Before the bell rings, Lance Archer punches Frankie Kazarian, and the bell rings. Kazarian gets some shots in, but Lance Archer begins beating down Kazarian easily.
Archer tosses Kazarian around and then hits him with some clubbing blows. We go to another picture-in-picture commercial break. We return to see Lance Archer hit Kazarian with a clothesline, and Kazarian falls outside the ring. Kazarian goes for the Crossface Chicken Wing; however, Archer counters it into a chokeslam.
Finally, Lance Archer hits Kazarian with the Hell-O-Coaster and The Blackout. Finally, Archer pins Kazarian for the win. Tony Schiavone is in the ring, and he asks what Dan Lambert is there, and Lambert tells him not to worry about it. Archer says, "I am tired of this Cowboy Bullshit." Archer begins attacking Kazarian again, and "Hangman" Adam Page comes out and clears the ring after getting into it with Archer.
Winner: "Murderhawk" Lance Archer ( w/ Jake "The Snake" Roberts and Dan Lambert)
- We get a backstage segment with Dante Martin, Lee Moriarty, and Matt Sydal. Moriarty says, "Dante, you had our backs, and we will have yours until your brother comes back." Team Taz's Ricky Starks tells Martin, "he has some kind of brother complex." PowerHouse Hobbs warns Dante that they will be going after him.
- Kris Statlander and Red Velvet are about to cut a promo, and Leyla Hirsch cuts them off and says that Statlander and Red Velvet have cost her a lot of money.
Red Velvet says it was a miscommunication, and the next thing we see is Hirsch attacking both Red Velvet and Statlander.
Serena Deeb vs. Skye Blue
The match starts with Serena Deeb taking down Skye Blue. Deeb then hits Blue with a shoulder tackle. Soon, Blue gets in a nice shot in on Deeb. Deeb hits Blue with a splash in the corner and catapults her into the bottom rope throat first.
Deeb hits Blue with a spinning neckbreaker, and Deeb finishes it by putting Skye Blue in the Serenity Lock, and Blue taps out.
Winner: Serena Deeb
- "All Ego" Ethan Page cuts a backstage promo and challenges Jon Moxley to a match on AEW Rampage.
- They show a HOOK highlight package, and we see NJPW footage of Rocky Romero and Trent Baretta vs. The Young Bucks. Then, Excalibur, Jim Ross, and Tony Schiavone begin going over the matches for AEW Rampage and next week's AEW's Beach Bash.
- Matt Hardy and Andrade have a backstage segment, and they have joined forces, Andrade. Hardy sold 51% of his company to Andrade, and Hardy says Andrade will be the President. Hardy says the HFO will now be known as AHFO.
Darby Allin and Sting vs. The Acclaimed
Before the match even begins, The Acclaimed start beating down Darby Allin. Anthony Bowens puts a chair around Darby's neck. Bowens sends Darby into the ring post, and Allin lands hard. AEW Referee calls for assistance as Darby is down. Excalibur says that Sting is now a handicap match. The bell rings; Sting gets the upper hand first; however, it goes the other way once he goes for a Stinger Splash. Max Caster removed the turnbuckle pad. We go to our last picture-in-picture commercial break with The Acclaimed in control.
We return with Sting taking control of the match; Sting has Max Caster in the Scorpion Death Lock. Bowens has to hit Sting twice to get him to release the hold. Darby Allin comes out of nowhere and takes out Max Caster. Allin gets Sting back into the ring for the hot tag. Allin hits The Acclaimed with the Coffin Drop; Allin pulls Max Caster back into the ring. Allin hits Caster with the Code Red; Allin goes for the pin; however, Caster kicks out.
The Acclaimed hit the Mic Drop on Darby Allin, they go for the pin, but Sting breaks it up. Sting has Caster lying on a table, and Sting jumps off the stage and goes through the table. Allin hits Bowens with The Coffin Drop and pins him for the win.
Winners: Darby Allin and Sting
