Welcome to Fightful's coverage of Lucha Underground. This week, we have a loaded card with two title fights in hand, but first we get match between Fenix and now former ally Aerostar.
Fenix vs. Aerostar:
Fenix lands a highkick to Aerostar, but Aerostar gets a roll-up which Fenix kicks out. Fenix telegraphs every move Aerostar does and then hits a cutter. Aerostar’s shoulders are down on the mat but instead of going for the pin, Fenix attacks Aerostar. Aerostar then hits a headscissors on Fenix to out of the ring. Aerostar then hits a tope con hilo on Fenix. Fenix gets up and lifts Aerostar and launches him to the steel guardrails. Fenix dropkicks Aerostar in the back of the head. Fenix sends Aerostar to the ring, then hits a standing moonsault followed by a top rope senton, Aerostar kicks out. Fenix kicks Aerostar in the spine. Aerostar then hits a Canadian Destroyer and then springboard DDT and Fenix kicks out at two. Aerostar then starts kicking away at Fenix, but Fenix is still getting back up. Fenix lifts Aerostar to the top rope and then slaps him in the chest. Fenix then has Aerostar in a muscle buster then spins Aerostar into a driver.

After the match, Fenix starts beating up Aerostar some more and Melissa Santos pleads with Fenix to get help and that she wants the Fenix she knows. El Dragon Azteca Jr. comes in and tries to help. Fenix then lifts El Dragon Azteca Jr. to the apron, hind kicks him and then hits the same driver to Azteca which took out Aerostar. Fenix goes away as we go to break.
After the commercial break, Azteca is still being tended to by the medical staff. Antonio Cueto comes and said he’s in no condition to defend his title and that Cueto will have to call the match a forfeit loss for Azteca and that Martinez will be the new champion.
Azteca gets back up and then yells that he will fight regardless. Cueto accepts and tells Santos to make the ring announcements immediately for the Gift of the Gods title match.
El Dragon Azteca Jr. (c) vs. Marty “The Moth” Martinez: Gift of the Gods Championship:
Martinez hits a big boot to Azteca to start the match, then tosses the champion all the way across the ring. Martinez starts beating up on Azteca in the corner until Martinez had to be taken away from the corner by the referee. Martinez lifts Azteca up in the air and Azteca comes down and hip tosses Martinez. Martinez then picks up Azteca and atomic drops him into the second rope corner. Martinez then tries to unmask Azteca, but is unsuccessful. The challenger then throws Azteca back to the ring. Martinez goes to the top rope and Azteca gets up and pushes his opponent out of the ring. Azteca jumps out of the ring from the top rope to Martinez, gets back in and then hits a tope over the top rope to Martinez. Both men are back in the ring and Azteca hits a top rope crossbody, but Martinez kicks out when the champion goes for the pin. Azteca hits a DDT and Martinez kicks out at two. Martinez hits a rolling cutter and gets the pin new champion.

Pentagon Dark (c) vs. King Cuerno vs. Mil Muertes: Three-Way Dance for the Lucha Underground Championship:
Pentagon superkicks Muertes and Cuerno high knees Muertes. Muertes sends Pentagon to the corner and clotheslines him. Muertes sends Cuerno to the same corner as Pentagon and hits 10 straight lariats. Muertes throws Cuerno across the ring and slaps Pentagon. Pentagon and Cuerno create some tandem offense to Muertes and then a double dropkick that sends Muertes outside of the ring. Pentagon kicks Cuerno in the stomach and then hits a tope onto Muertes to the outside. Muertes hits a shoulder tackle to Cuerno who got out to the ring and then a clothesline to Pentagon.
Muertes is trying to unmask Pentagon and rips a part of his mask. Muertes then throws Pentagon to the crowd and then sends Cuerno back to the ring. Cuerno recovers and then hits a big boot to Muertes and then a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. Pentagon comes back and Muertes and the champion trade blows. Pentagon then hits two straight slingblades, goes to the top rope and hits a double foot stomp to Muertes’ chest. Muertes kicks out when Pentagon goes for the pin. Cuerno gets back up and returns to the ring, hits a sunset flip to Pentagon, followed by a knee to the champion. Cuerno hits a Michinoku Driver to Pentagon. Muertes takes out Cuerno, but Pentagon hits two backbreakers on Muertes. Pentagon hits a package piledriver to Cuerno, gets the pin
Official Result: Pentagon Dark defeated King Cuerno and Mil Muertes to retain the Lucha Underground Championship
After the match, Martinez comes in and attacks Pentagon from behind. Martinez picks up Pentagon’s title and hits the Lucha Underground champion with his own belt. Martinez then lifts Pentagon with the rolling cutter, followed by a curb stomp.
Cueto comes in and said Marty convinced him to lift the one-week wait period for Gift of the Gods champions to challenge for the Lucha Underground title.
Pentagon Dark (c) vs. Marty “The Moth” Martinez: Lucha Underground Championship/Marty “The Moth” Martinez’s Gift of the Gods Cash-In:
Martinez goes for the pin and Pentagon kicks out. Martinez continues to attack Pentagon and goes for a cover, but Pentagon kicks out. Martinez ties Pentagon’s mask to the middle rope and then starts kicking Pentagon. Martinez then unties Pentagon’s mask and goes for a cover, but Pentagon kicks out once again. Martinez then lifts Pentagon to the corner and then to the top rope. Pentagon chops Martinez out of the top rope and then hits a Canadian Destroyer. Martinez rolls away and a strange woman appears in the ring, kicks Pentagon down low and then hits a Canadian Destroyer to Pentagon. Martinez hits a package piledriver and gets the pin and we have a new Lucha Underground Champion.
