Also scheduled for the December 25 episode of NXT is Roderick Strong defending his NXT North American title in an open challenge. Strong did defend his title against Austin Theory in a match that took place right before the December 11 episode of NXT. Right before the December 18 episode of NXT, Bianca Belair defeated Shotzi Blackheart and Candice LeRae defeated Taynara Conti.
