WWE Friday Night SmackDown Results (8/30): Nia Jax Defends In Street Fight With Michin

WWE Friday Night SmackDown's August 30th episode is set to take place from the Uber Arena in Berlin, Germany, and will be the final stop on the road to WWE Bash In Berlin. The show will be taped early in the day US time and will air in its usual time slot in the United States.

Prior to the show, WWE have announced that Nia Jax will defend her WWE Women's Championship in a Street Fight with Michin, while United States Champion LA Knight will host an open challenge.

WWE SmackDown (8/30) Results

- SmackDown opens with LA Knight's US Title open challenge, with Knight receiving a large ovation from the Berlin crowd. Knight highlights that it has been 27 years since WWE has been in Berlin for a TV event. Ludwig Kaiser accepts LA Knight's US Title open challenge. As expected, the German crowd was very much behind Kaiser.

- Gunther vs Randy Orton video package

- A Nia Jax vignette airs set to the song Mud by Dorothy.

* Los Garza (w/ Elektra Lopez and Santos Escobar) def. Apollo Crews and Baron Corbin

- The Bloodline promo. Solo ran down who he had taken out as the Tribal Chief. An eight-man tag match is made for next week's SmackDown between The Bloodline and DIY/The Street Profits. Solo says he will be coming for the winner of the WWE Championship match between Kevin Owens and Cody Rhodes.

- Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens face to face. Nick Aldis highlights WWE's recent European tour before bringing out Owens and Rhodes. Aldis gives the two men the ring. Owens asks Cody what he wants to talk about. Owens wants to talk about Cody's knee. Cody says his knee is fine, wants to ask about last week's moment where it looked like Owens was gonna hit him with the title. Owens highlights that others had it coming, doesn't feel like Cody does. Owens continues to talk about Cody's knee, but Cody denies it, but Owens noticed Cody didn't take a knee in his entrance. Owens reflects on his previous Universal Title match and wants to make sure he deserves it. Cody says he loves Kevin Owens. Asks Owens if they will still be friends after their match. Owens whispers something in Cody's ear and leaves the ring.

- Baron Corbin and Apollo Crews backstage segment with Austin Theory and Grayson Waller. Austin snaps at Grayson and says he feels like they're falling apart. Grayson says Theory is his best mate and apologizes and the two make up.

- Giovanni Vinci vignette for his return next week.

* Carmelo Hayes def. Andrade El Idolo: The two are now 2-2 in their series.

- A video package recaps how we got to our WWE Women's Championship Street Fight main event.

- Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill Promo

* WWE Women's Championship Street Fight: Nia Jax (c) def. Michin

- Bayley returned during the match to even the odds against Tiffany Stratton, who had teased a cash-in but, upon being caught by Nia Jax, switched gears to help her retain her title
