On September 26, 2023, WWE hosted a new episode of NXT on the USA Network.
The show was headlined by Butch facing Joe Coffey in the finals of the NXT Global Heritage Invitational, plus Carmelo Hayes & Ilja Dragunov being involved in a Contract Signing. The full results are listed below.

- NXT Global Heritage Invitational Final: Butch def. Joe Coffey (w/ Wolfgang & Mark Coffey of Gallus).
- With the win, Butch will challenge Noam Dar for the NXT Heritage Cup at NXT No Mercy.
- NXT North American Champion Dominik Mysterio was interviewed by McKenzie Mitchell backstage. Dominik said that he was going to chill in his house and eat some chicken tenders while watching No Mercy, but Mitchell revealed that Shawn Michaels booked Dominik to defend his title at No Mercy. Dominik stormed out of the interview in anger.
- NXT Tag Team Champions The Family (Tony D'Angelo & Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo) hosted the Tag Team Dinner to discuss their possible opponents for NXT No Mercy. The first to join were Humberto Carrillo & Angel Garza.
- Trick Williams def. Joe Gacy (w/ Ava).
- After the match, Kelly Kincaid interviewed Williams in the ring. Williams said that he believed that he just had the best win of his career. After he was asked about NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes, he said that it was his time to get his own piece of gold.
- Blair Davenport was interviewed backstage by McKenzie Mitchell, where she stated that she would beat Gigi Dolin later in the night.
- Andre Chase & Duke Hudson met with Jacy Jayne backstage in regard to where Thea Hail was. Hail appeared in a new outfit, that bamboozled Chase & Hudson. Hail is set to face Dani Palmer later in the night.
- Baron Corbin def. Josh Briggs (w/ Fallon Henley & Brooks Jensen).
- Baron Corbin called out Bron Breakker, saying that he would beat him at No Mercy. Breakker appeared and immediately brawled with Corbin until producers & security guards separated them.
- There was a segment showing Trick Williams entering Shawn Michaels's office to get a title shot.
- There was a preview vignette showing the feud between Tiffany Stratton & NXT Women's Champion Becky Lynch. Lynch is set to defend her title against Stratton in an Extreme Rules Match at NXT No Mercy.
- Winner Gets A Seat At The D'Angelo Dinner: OTM (Lucien Price & Bronco Nima) (w/ SCRYPTS) vs. Hank Walker & Tank Ledger.
- Blair Davenport attacked Gigi Dolin backstage. The two are set to face each other later in the night.
- The Family, Humberto Carrillo & Angel Garza were joined by the Creed Brothers (Julius Creed & Brutus Creed) in the Tag Team Dinner. Brutus asked D'Angelo is the restaurant they were in was the one people got poisoned, but D'Angelo denied the allegations.
- Trick Williams met with Tyler Bate & Axiom backstage, revealing that he would be in the #1 Contender's Match for the NXT North American Title later in the night.
- Strap Match: Eddy Thorpe def. DIJAK.
- DIJAK attacked Thorpe after the match, hitting Thorpe with a leather belt
- Thea Hail (w/ Jacy Jayne) def. Dani Palmer.
- Carmelo Hayes & Trick Williams spoke backstage, with Williams saying he was going for the NXT North American Title. Hayes said that he was happy for Trick, but was currently focused on his contract signing with Ilja Dragunov later in the night.
- NXT North American Championship - #1 Contender's Match: Trick Williams def. Axiom, Tyler Bate & Dragon Lee.
- OTM (SCRYPTS, Bronco Nima & Lucien Price) joined The Family (Tony D'Angelo & Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo), The Creed Brothers (Brutus & Julius Creed), and the team of Angel Garza & Humberto Carrillo for the dinner to book a team for the NXT Tag Titles. After D'Angelo called out his entire family, D'Angelo said that he wanted to face everyone at No Mercy. The four teams had a toast.
- NXT North American Champion Dominik Mysterio was interviewed, where Mysterio promised to "whoop that Trick". Dragon Lee attacked Mysterio from behind.
- Carmelo Hayes congratulated Williams backstage, where he stated that both he & Williams would walk out as Champions from No Mercy.
- There was a vignette of someone watching the TV, flickering through channels including Bengals training & WCW Saturday Night.
- Ilja Dragunov & NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes were in the ring to sign the contract for their match at NXT No Mercy. Hayes told Dragunov that he was unlike anyone that he had faced. Dragunov told Hayes that he would prove that Hayes's dynasty had fallen, but Hayes responded by saying that he would prove to Dragunov that he was still the top guy in NXT.
- Bron Breakker & Baron Corbin brawled in the NXT Parking lot before Breakker speared a door off a car. Breakker & Corbin made their way to the Capital Wrestling Center before they speared the wall of Shawn Michaels's office. Breakker & Corbin brawled until the end of the broadcast.
