On Tuesday, July 30, 2024, WWE hosted week one of the NXT event "Great American Bash" on the USA Network.

The show was headlined by Roxanne Perez defending her NXT Women's Title against Chase University's Thea Hail. The full results are listed below.

  • After a video skit of Hank Walker & Tank Ledger previewing the card for the show, Vic Joseph & Booker T. Huffman welcomed the audience to the broadcast before transitioning into the opening match.
  • WWE Women's Tag Team Championship Match: The Unholy Union (Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn) (c) def. The Meta Four (Jakara Jackson & Lash Legend) (w/ Oro Mensah) via Pinfall (Gory Bomb Flatliner on Jackson).
    • NXT Champion Ethan Page interrupted after the match to tell Mensah this would be the closest look he would have at the NXT Title, but Mensah responded by getting another unofficial pin on Page.
  • Cedric Alexander met with a group of Performance Center trainees before Shawn Spears interrupted to say Alexander was a "lost cause". Alexander responded by saying he was not weak-minded, but that led to Brooks Jensen confronting Alexander.
  • Hank Walker interviewed Tavion Heights backstage, where Heights said he was not afraid of big-time matches because of his amateur wrestling background and looked forward to the match. After that, Tank Ledger interviewed The Family (Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo, Luca Crucifino, Adrianna Rizzo & NXT Heritage Cup Champion Tony D'Angelo), where D'Angelo put over Heights as a "legit guy" and looked forward to the match.
  • There was a vignette of Pete Dunne, where he said he was tired of seeing grown men struggling with a setback, where he said he was not like Trick Williams or anyone else on the roster. Dunne said Trick Williams would go through a painful lesson and he would show him how to "figure it out".
  • Trick Williams appeared backstage, where he accepted Dunne's challenge and declared to "forget whoop that trick", he would whoop that ass.
  • NXT Heritage Cup Championship Match: Tony D'Angelo (c) (w/ Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo, Luca Crucifino & Adrianna Rizzo) def. Tavion Heights (w/ Charlie Dempsey, Myles Borne & Wren Sinclair) (R5: 2-1).
  • There was a video recap of the feud between the trio of Jacy Jayne, Jazmyn Nyx & Fallon Henley, and the trio of Lola Vice, Sol Ruca & Karmen Petrovic ahead of their match tonight.
  • Cedric Alexander def. Brooks Jensen (w/ Shawn Spears) via Pinfall (Lumbar Check).
  • There was a video vignette of Je'Von Evans recapping how he got into wrestling, detailing how wrestling helped him escape from his family issues. More of the vignette will be aired soon.
  • Joe Hendry spoke with multiple Performance Center recruits ahead of his concert tonight. Ashante Adonis met with those same recruits, saying he believed in whatever they believed.
  • The Rascalz (Wes Lee, Zachary Wentz & Trey Miguel) were in the NXT "Treehouse", where MSK (Lee & Wentz) wanted to get a shot at regaining the NXT Tag Titles after winning the trios titles against Axiom, Nathan Frazer & Je'Von Evans.
  • Joe Hendry appeared on the ring and sang a song dedicated to Gallus, saying they were deported for having bad facial hair. Gallus (Mark Coffey, Joe Coffey & Wolfgang) appeared to cut Joe Hendry's concert and attacked him before smashing a guitar on Hendry's back.
  • NXT Women's Champion Roxanne Perez before she was interrupted by Hank Walker & Tank Ledger. Perez scolded Ledger & Walker were doing a sticky notes challenge while she was preparing for her title match tonight, but Jaida Parker appeared and said it was for a title she may not have tonight.
  • NXT General Manager Ava moderated a contract signing backstage, where Mensah declared Page was always the victim of his pinfalls. Page said none of those pins counted and stated he would retain his title next week.
  • Jaida Parkey (w/ Lucien Price & Bronco Nima) def. Kendal Grey (w/ Carlee Bright) via Pinfall (Hip Attack).
  • Ridge Holland gave Thea Hail some counseling ahead of her match tonight against Roxanne Perez for the NXT Women's Title, telling her to do whatever it takes to win the title tonight.
  • As Nathan Frazer & Axiom spoke with LWO (Cruz del Toro & Joaquin Wilde), Axiom signed a contract to make the tag title bout between them & MSK official. Frazer scolded Axiom for signing the contract without his consent and for getting pinned last week, but Axiom said he was locked in for next week.
  • Jacy Jayne, Jazmyn Nyx & Fallon Henley def. Lola Vice, Sol Ruca & Karmen Petrovic via Pinfall (Shinning Wizard from Henley on Petrovic).
  • Tatum Paxley met with Kelani Jordan, where she told her she wanted to "play" for the NXT Women's North American Title. Jordan told Paxley she did not play with the title, but Paxley said she did not either.
  • Joe Hendry was interviewed in the NXT Parking Lot, where Hendry challenged Joe Coffey to a match next week.
  • NXT Women's Championship Match: Roxanne Perez (c) def. Thea Hail (w/ Charlie Osbourne, Andre Chase, Duke Hudson & Ridge Holland) via Pinfall (Pop Rox).
