Good afternoon Fight Fans, and welcome to our coverage for today's edition of WWE NXT UK!
Eddie Dennis vs Oliver Carter
They grapple on the mat before Oliver locks in a cravat and Eddie takes him down with a side headlock take over. Eddie wrenches the arm of Oliver before Oliver lays into him with punches in the midsection. Oliver hits a head scissors before Eddie slaps him and sends him over the top rope and down onto the floor. Eddie rocks Oliver with a right hand and tosses him into the ring for two before whipping him into the corner. Eddie locks in a cravat that Oliver fights out of before chopping Eddie and rocking him with an uppercut.
Oliver gets a near fall off of a jack knife cover before hitting a tornado face buster into a suicide dive. Back in the ring Eddie gets his knees up when Oliver goes for a dive and hits the Next Stop Driver for a near fall. Oliver counters the Seven Bridge into a springboard moonsault for two before hitting a spinning heel kick. Eddie then hits the Seven Bridge for the pin and the win.
Winner: Eddie Dennis defeats Oliver Carter via pinfall.
- After the match Eddie invites South Wales Subculture to a special presentation on next week's show.
- We get a video package promo by the leader of Gallus Joe Coffey who is set to return soon as we go to commercial.
- We come back to a graphic for NXT UK airing at 4pm eastern next week as well as a graphic for the return of former Cruiserweight champion Jordan Devlin.
Amale vs Nina Samuels
Amale goes right after Nina and backs her into the ropes for the break before beating her down and locking in a head and arm clutch. Amale smashes the face of Nina into the mat repeatedly before Nina snaps the neck or Amale across the top rope. Nina drives her knees into the back of Amale before locking in a body scissors before they exchange pin attempts for two. Amale comes back with a shotgun dropkick into a running boot in the corner for two before Nina traps her in the ropes. Nina hits a running dropkick to the back of Amale for two before Amale hits a northern lights suplex for a near fall.
Nina then hits the Final Act for the pin and the win.
Winner: Nina Samuels defeats Amale via pinfall.
-We come back from the break to a backstage interview with Nina who says that she's got her eye on Piper Niven.
NXT UK Heritage Cup Tournament First Round Match
Trent Seven vs Kenny Williams
Round 1
The two lock up for a clean break before Trent takes Kenny down and backs him into the ropes when Kenny gets to his feet. Kenny grounds Trent and pins his shoulders to the mat for several one counts before Trent does the same to Kenny. Trent holds on a Greco-Roman knuckle lock before they run the ropes and Trent hits a hip toss. Kenny hits a mule kick before Trent hits a scoop slam and a jumping leg drop for two. Trent then locks in a front headlock before Kenny gets to his feet as the round ends.
Round 2
Trent locks in a straight jacket stretch before Kenny rocks him with a back elbow and follows up with a springboard back elbow for two. Trent hits a snap mare before Kenny hits a head scissors into a dropkick for two before taking Trent down to the mat. Trent headbutts Kenny in the midsection before Kenny gets two off of a sunset flip as the round ends.
Round 3
Kenny picks the ankle of Trent and twists his ankle before turning it into a normal ankle lock before Trent counters into a bulldog choke. Kenny reverses into a head scissors submission before Trent stands on his head and flips over Kenny to lock in a cobra clutch. They get to their feet and Trent chops Kenny before hitting a DDT for two and following up with a running clothesline in the corner. Kenny then takes Trent down and teases a Boston crab before Trent hits the Seven Star Lariat for the pin right as the round counts down to the final seconds.
Round 4
They exchange pin attempts immediately until Kenny pins Trent with a sunset flip.
Round 5
The two exchange strikes before Kenny gets a near fall and follows up with a tornado DDT for a near fall. The two exchange forearms before Trent hits a snap dragon suplex into a driver for a near fall. Kenny then hits a frankensteiner that Trent turns it into a jack knife for the pin and the win.
Winner: Trent Seven defeats Kenny Williams via pinfall to advance to the next round of the tournament.
- Backstage we see NXT UK champion WALTER heading to the ring for his contract signing up next as we go to commercial.
- We come back as Ilja Dragunov makes his way out to the ring before the champion does as Assistant to the General Manager Sid Scala waits in the ring with the contract for their championship match for next week. The two sit down and WALTER immediately signs the contract before Sid slides it over to Ilja who then signs it. WALTER declines to say anything before the two gets to their feet and Ilja starts to say something before WALTER attacks him. WALTER gives Ilja several of his signature chops before Ilja counters a powerbomb and sends WALTER out of the ring. WALTER chops Ilja in midair before powerbombing him onto the edge of the apron and delivering more chops.
WALTER sends Ilja into the steps before Ilja rushes WALTER and they go through the barricade. Ilja then takes the NXT United Kingdom championship and tosses it to WALTER before WALTER is held back as we go off the air.
