The AAA Cruiserweight and Latin American Championships have been unified.
At TripleMania XXX Tijuana, AAA Cruiserweight Champion Laredo Kid and AAA Latin American Champion Taurus wrestled in a Fatal-Five-Way to unify the titles. The other competitors were AEW's Rey Fenix, former ROH World Champion Bandido, and current AAA Mega Champion El Hijo Del Vikingo.
After a wonderful display of athleticism from the five wrestlers, Rey Fenix won the match by pinning Taurus with a Coup De Grace. Rey Fenix became the first wrestler to hold all of the AAA Men's championships in the promotion's history.
Despite Fenix's talent, it was recently reported that he would not be able to wrestle on AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door due to NJPW's close relationship with CMLL (you can read about the report here). Fenix's brother, Penta Oscuro, is scheduled to face Malakai Black in a AEW All-Atlantic Championship Eliminator Match.
