Rey Mysterio believes in Dragon Lee.
Rey Mysterio is heralded as the "Greatest Mask of All Time" by WWE and is the most successful luchador to penetrate American wrestling. Mysterio's success and longevity is something every luchador who enters WWE aspires to have, and Mysterio believes Dragon Lee can be someone to follow in his footsteps.
"I’ve been watching Dragon Lee and how he’s been growing. The fact that he’s now brought up to SmackDown and is no longer part of NXT. He has a lot of potential to grow and be his own person. I’ve always said it’s very hard to duplicate someone. You’re never going to find another Undertaker, Kane, Eddie [Eddie Guerrero], Rey. When Dragon Lee makes his mark, and he will, he’s going to become his version of Rey Mysterio," said Mysterio in an interview with Ariel Helwani on the MMA Hour.
Lee recently teamed with Mysterio and Sami Zayn in a dark match after the October 13 episode of WWE SmackDown. The trio defeated Imperium (Giovanni Vinci, Gunther & Ludwig Kaiser).
