Ricochet has made history.
On the May 3 episode of WWE Speed, Ricochet faced Johnny Gargano in the finals of the WWE Speed Championship Tournament. They battled back and forth in a hard-fought match. Gargano evaded a 630 Splash and rocked Ricochet with a superkick. In the end, Ricochet hit a Recoil and clinched the win with a Lethal Injection.

WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H then commented on Ricochet's win and said that nobody defined speed like him. He congratulated the new champion.

Gargano previously beat Bronson Reed and Angel to advance to the finals. Ricochet defeated Dragon Lee and JD McDonagh to punch his ticket to the finals.
A new #1 contender's tournament will begin on the May 8 episode of WWE Speed.
