Rob Van Dam says commentary isn't for him.
Rob Van Dam has had a legendary career in the wrestling world, and he continues to make appearances; he recently appeared at NXT's 2300 Arena event in November. Van Dam is 53, and given his lengthy career, he has plenty of experience that he could share with up-and-coming talent.
Speaking on his 1 Of A Kind With RVD podcast, the WWE Hall of Famer noted that he could see himself helping out as a trainer. However, he said that he could not see himself doing commentary.
"I have some interest, though, in helping out. Me and Katie [Forbes] were talking about that earlier. I never thought I would have before, but like I said, if someone’s not at zero and it’s just pointing out things that I see that could make them better, I do that all the time anyway. So I could see doing that, especially with the big welcome vibe, like ‘you’re welcome here any time.’ That really encourages that as well, me feeling like, ‘Maybe I could see me sometime maybe lending a hand in that way, doing that.’ But I couldn’t see that before, and now I can. Katie said she wants to see me commentate. I’m like, I still can’t see that one. I can’t imagine acting like I’m really excited about something I’m watching that is not exciting me at all. I don’t think that’s for me," Rob Van Dam said.
