He faced AEW Interim World Champion Jon Moxley on the July 27 episode of AEW Dynamite. RUSH also competed in the Casino Ladder Match at AEW All Out.

RUSH is a former ROH World Champion, and he had been featured in ROH until he went down with a knee injury in August 2021. He missed the last several months of the year and the beginning of 2022 before he started performing again in Mexico.
