Sabu says he has long wished he could have a match with Finn Balor.
Sabu is one of the most innovative wrestlers of his generation, paving the way for daredevils such as Matt and Jeff Hardy, Ricochet, and more. As new generations of wrestlers come into the industry looking to push the boundaries, Sabu is looking to plot his final match.
One name that Sabu always wanted to wrestle but never got the chance to is Finn Balor.
Speaking on Conversations with The Wrestling Classic, Sabu explains that he always wanted to wrestle Finn Balor and claims that he got the opportunity to tell him as much.
"I like Finn Balor," he said. "Before he came Finn Balor, I always wanted to wrestle him. Then, he became Finn Balor and I really wanted to wrestle him. I said to him, 'Hey, man. Some day we gotta get together,' and he was telling me, 'Of course.' But then, it never happened, because I got hurt."
Sabu also suggested that he feels Finn Balor is better than WWE is presenting him.
"WWE guys are actors and stuntmen. They're not wrestlers anymore. They're making him, a wrestler, be an actor, and a stuntman," he said. "I don't blame him. He's getting paid."
Sabu has said he's open to having his final match for AEW. Read his comments here.
However, if all else fails, he knows he can have a great final match with Rob Van Dam.
