Sammy Guevara Comments On AEW Double Or Nothing Main Event, Thanks Fans For Their Support

Sammy Guevara thanks the fans for their support as he gets ready for AEW Double or Nothing.

For the past several weeks, AEW's "Four Pillars" have been feuding with each other; Sammy Guevara Darby Allin, and "Jungle Boy" Jack Perry have targeted AEW World Champion MJF, and the challenges have been trying to earn a title shot.

Guevara initially earned the right to challenge MJF for the gold at AEW Double or Nothing, as he made a deal with the champion. In exchange for helping Guevara win the Four Pillars Tournament, MJF would be guaranteed a win at AEW Double or Nothing, as Sammy would lie down for him. But when Perry and Allin were given a chance to earn their spots in the match, they capitalized; they won the Four Pillars Tag Team match on the May 3 episode of AEW Dynamite. As a result, MJF will defend the title against Perry, Guevara, and Allin at AEW Double or Nothing.

On the newest episode of his vlog, Guevara shared his thoughts on the news that the title match at AEW Double or Nothing will officially be a four-way match.

“The main event of Double or Nothing is official, Fatal Four-Way for the world title, myself versus MJF versus Jungle Boy versus Darby. I’m excited. This is definitely one of the biggest matches for me. I went from the Buy-In with Kip Sabian four, almost five years ago. Now here we are, gonna be in the main event for the world title of AEW. I just want to thank everybody who got me to this point. If you support these videos, if you supported me by getting my merch when I was on the indies and I really needed the money, thank you. If you support the vlog now and you leave comments, you’ve shared the video, liked the video, any way you support me, whether it be monetarily or just hitting a like on a video, it all goes a long way. With that said, I want to make sure I give this match 100% of my focus, so we are gonna be stopping the vlog for a couple weeks. We’re just three weeks away from the pay-per-view and the first video back will be the Double or Nothing vlog. I want to put 100% of my focus in the gym, in the ring, and do everything in my power to add another belt [to my wall]," Guevara said.
