Sammy Guevara is his own man now.
Sammy Guevara made his return on the August 1st episode of ROH on HonorClub, as he saved Dustin Rhodes from The Dark Order (Alex Reynolds, John Silver, & Evil Uno). Guevara had been suspended after concussion protocol was not followed in his match against Jeff Hardy on the February 14th taping of AEW Rampage.
Guevara then made his return to AEW television on the August 3rd episode of AEW Collision. He spoke with Rhodes and The Von Erichs (Marshall and Ross Von Erich). Guevara noted that Rhodes might not trust him, and he was looking to earn that trust. He then stated that he had been stuck in a vortex for a long time, and for the first time in five years, he could be his own man. He reiterated that he wanted to earn Rhodes' trust. Guevara said that he wanted to team with Rhodes in Ring of Honor, and he wanted to team with The Von Erichs as well.
Can Dustin Rhodes and The Von Erichs trust Sammy Guevara to be a part of this team of historic Texans?
