The semi-finals are set in the AEW Title Number One Contenders Tournament.
On Wednesday's AEW Dynamite, all four first-round matches took place in the tournament with Wardlow, Kenny Omega, Rey Fenix, and Hangman Page advancing in the tournament.
Wardlow dispatched of Jungle Boy, Kenny Omega squashed Sonny Kiss, Fenix outlasted his brother Penta El Zero M, and Hangman Page defeated Colt Cabana in the first round.

The semi-finals will see Wardlow take on Hangman while Omega battles Fenix. Both bouts will take place on the October 28 episode of AEW Dynamite.
The finals of the tournament will take place at AEW Full Gear. The winner will receive an AEW World Title shot against whoever holds the championship.
