Shannon Moore reflects on Tank Abbott's time with 3 Count in WCW.
Shannon Moore, Shane Helms, and Evan Karagias were a group known as 3 Count in World Championship Wrestling. Formed at the turn of the millennium, the three young wrestlers portrayed themselves as a boy band in the vein of the Backstreet Boys or *NSYNC. Legit tough man and UFC Fighter Tank Abbott would then be added to the group as their bodyguard who also secretly wanted to be in a boy band.
Shannon Moore recently reflected on that time in his career while speaking with Chris Jericho on Talk is Jericho. Specifically, he revealed that Tank Abbott took the role of the group's bodyguard very seriously on and off television.
"Tank was awesome in that role. He took it seriously. He would really try to fight people for us. We would go to restaurants, if we were out somewhere and going into an arena or hotel, if you booed us, he would take it serious and he would fight you. He was legit. Everyone thinks Tank was this worked bodyguard from 3 Count, he was nuts back then. He would fight you for us. We were his boys," he revealed.
Shannon Moore is now a sobriety counselor. Fans can check out the full podcast embedded below.
