Shawn Daivari re-emerges in WWE at the Greatest Royal Rumble after years away from the company.
For the first time since 2007, Shawn Daivari appeared on a WWE broadcast during the Greatest Royal Rumble event. Mike Rome was in the ring introducing the recruits found during the Saudi Arabia try outs when Shawn Daivari and his brother current WWE Cruiserweight Ariya Daivari came out to the ring with the flag of Iran.
The Daivari brothers insulted the recruits and called them "nothing" which prompted a couple of the athletes to attach Shawn Daivari while Ariya Daivari escaped to ringside.
Shawn Daivari was last seen on a WWE broadcast during his run with the company in the early 2000s when he was working mostly as a manager for Muhammad Hassan, Kurt Angle, and Great Khali. After WWE, he went on to Impact Wrestling (called TNA at the time) where he would become X-Division Champion.
It's worth noting the Saudi sport broadcast channel cut away from this segment.
