Shelton Benjamin Answers Why There Has Never Been A Modern Equivalent To The OVW Class Of 2002

Shelton Benjamin talks the OVW class of 2002.

In 2002, a class came through OVW, which served as WWE's developmental at the time, that would feature several top stars of the future. The list of talent in said class included the likes of Randy Orton, Batista and Shelton Benjamin.

While speaking to RJ City on the latest episode of Hey! (EW), Shelton was asked about the class of 2002, and why there hasn't been a modern equal.

"Because no one has ever been as good as us. Number one, because everyone there was hungry, everyone there was hardworking, and none of us felt like it was gonna be our turn without hard work. We all worked hard, iron sharpened iron. We came early, we stayed late, and we had a lot of great guys come through there."

Earlier this week on AEW Dynamite, Shelton teamed with Bobby Lashley to defeat Private Party and claim the AEW World Tag Team Championships.
