A huge match has been added to AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door.
Moments before the June 19 edition of AEW Dynamite went off the air, it was revealed that Bryan Danielson will take on Shingo Takagi at the upcoming Forbidden Door pay-per-view. That match will be a part of the first round in the Men's Owen Hart Cup Tournament.

The winner of the bout will go on to face PAC in the semi-finals of the tournament.
Bryan Danielson wrestled Kazuchika Okada at the Forbidden Door event in 2023. Takagi teamed with BUSHI Hiromu Takahashi to face United Empire (Jeff Cobb, Kyle Fletcher & TJP) at the same event. Additionally, Takagi teamed with Darby Allin and Sting against the Young Bucks and ELP at the Forbidden Door event in 2022.
