This match was supposed to occur on the November 1 episode of SmackDown, but could not take place due to the travel issues superstars faced getting back from Saudi Arabia for the Crown Jewel pay-per-view the night before.
This marks the seventh championship reign for New Day. Xavier Woods, the third member of New Day, is currently battling an Achilles tendon injury which he should be recovered from by next summer.
