Stephen P New offers a few more details on Brawl Out.
AEW All Out 2022 was remembered less for what happened on television and more of what happened behind the scenes as CM Punk gave a post-show press conference where he aired his grievances with Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks (Matt Jackson & Nick Jackson), Colt Cabana, and Hangman Page.
In the aftermath of the press conference, Punk, Ace Steel, Omega, and the Bucks got into a backstage altercation that was dubbed Brawl Out.
All parties were suspended at the time, and all parties returned at different times and capacities. Punk was eventually fired for another backstage altercation at AEW All In 2023.
Speaking on Wrestling With Rip Rogers, Stephen P New, the lawyer for Punk and Steel, commented on Brawl Out and the NDAs attached to everyone.
"The only person, and granted she's not completely objective and unbiased, the only person not subject to a NDA and not subject to confidentiality provisions is Ace's wife Lucy. Maybe one day she tells the story," he said.
When asked if the NDAs are for life, New replied, "Yes." Asked why there was no NDA with Lucy, he replied, "It was just part of the deal."
While doing another media appearance, New provided further insight into his deals with Punk and Steel.
