Steve Austin: I'm Not A CTE Guy. Just Don't Believe In It

After Chris Benoit killed his wife Nancy, his son Daniel, and himself in 2007, WWE instituted a wellness policy and Benoit's brain was studied for science.

CTE started to become more researched in the world of sports, headed up by former pro wrestler Chris Nowinski.

On "Mr. McMahon," Benoit's death was covered and Nowinski discussed the effects of CTE.

Steve Austin gave his thoughts.

"I worked for a long time. I got dropped on my head on time. I got concussed. Other than that, I can't remember having too many concussions in the business of pro wrestling. My take on that has always been, if you were just wrestling, and you got a bunch of concussions, you're probably doing something wrong. I'm not a CTE guy. Just don't believe in it," he said.

Austin suffered a concussion at SummerSlam 1997 when Owen Hart dropped him on his head with a piledriver.
