Steve Maclin: Bully Ray Went Soft After D'Von Came Back, It Stirred Up Old Emotions & Changed Him

Steve Maclin explains why he thinks Bully Ray has gone soft.

On a recent episode of IMPACT Wrestling on AXS TV, Steve Maclin confronted Bully Ray, telling the legend that he has gone soft in recent weeks. Maclin and Ray have held a strong partnership in recent months, but it seems as if that relationship is starting to fall apart quickly.

In a new interview with WrestleZone, Steve Maclin explained that he thinks Ray's recent reunion with D'Von Dudley has caused him to go soft, likely due to nostalgia.

“It’s one of those things where with D’Von coming back, it kind of stirred up old emotions and changed him a little bit. I don’t know if him on his nostalgia kick, but when he asked for my help, I went and helped him with PCO and obviously we poured battery acid down his throat, we burned him alive, we’ve done everything possible to get the job done. But now here we are with me asking help with Rhyno and all he wants to do is talk to him. A guy like Bully Ray doesn’t talk. He’ll go out there and talk about it but when he wants to get something done, he gets it done. It didn’t sit right with me.”

Ray and D'Von Dudley reunited at IMPACT 1000, where they teamed up to defeat The Desi Hit Squad (Champagne Singh & Rohit Raju).

Steve Maclin is set to compete at the Bound For Glory pay-per-view, as he'll compete in a Monster's Ball match against PCO, Rhino, and Moose. Fans can see the updated card for the event by clicking here.
